The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Nirguṇamānasapūjā

Verse 13

ब्रह्मानन्दाब्धिकल्लोलकणकोट्यंशलेशकम् ।पिवन्तीन्द्रादय इति ध्यानमाचमनं मतम् ॥ १३ ॥

In plain words

Indra and all the gods drink no more than the faintest trace of a fraction of a ten-millionth of one droplet from one wave in the ocean of Brahman's bliss. To hold that in mind — that is the sip of water taken before worship.

Close to the Sanskrit

The merest trace of a portion of a ten-millionth of a droplet of a wave of the ocean of the bliss of Brahman — Indra and the rest drink that: this meditation is held to be the ācamana.
