। ॥ ४ ॥
In plain words
I am not the one thinking, not the one going, not the one speaking, not the one acting, not the one tasting the results. I am not even a liberated man in his holy order. Exactly to the degree that I am not made of the mind's shifting moods, I am the lamp by which every one of them is seen. I am Śiva.
Close to the Sanskrit
I am indeed not a thinker, not a goer, not a speaker, not a doer, not an enjoyer, not one abiding in the order of the liberated. In so far as I am not of the nature of the differing modes of the mind, so far am I the lamp of all the modes — I am Śiva.
