भगवन् किमुपादेयं गुरुवचनं हेयमपि किमकार्यम् ।को गुरुः अधिगततत्त्वः शिष्यहितायोद्यतः सततम् ॥ २ ॥

Venerable one, what is most worthy of acceptance? The guru's word. What should be rejected? That which ought never to be done. And who is a true guru? One who has directly realized the truth and is unceasingly devoted to the welfare of the disciple.
