हे सनत्सुजात, यत् यस्मात् इमां परार्थाम् उत्कृष्टार्थां ब्राह्मीं ब्रह्मसंबन्धिनीं वाचं वदसि हि विश्वरूपां नानारूपां पराम् उत्तमां कार्येषु कार्यवर्गेषु प्रपञ्चेषु सुदुर्लभां श्रवणायाप्यशक्यां कथां प्रब्रूहि मे वाक्यमेवंभूतं कुमार, यस्मात्त्वं ब्राह्मीं वाचं परमपुरुषार्थसाधनभूतां सुदुर्लभां वदसि, तस्मात्त्वमेव वक्तुमर्हसीत्यभिप्रायः ॥
In plain words
O Sanatsujāta, because you utter this sublime and multi-faceted teaching of Brahman—so rare amid worldly pursuits and difficult even to hear—fully expound this discourse to me, O youth. Since the divine words you speak are the very means to ultimate liberation and so hard to find, you alone are truly qualified to teach—this is the intent.
Close to the Sanskrit
O Sanatsujāta, because you speak this supreme, excellent, divine speech connected with Brahman, possessing manifold forms, extremely rare among worldly effects, hard even to be heard—expound fully this discourse to me, O youth. Since you speak divine speech which serves as the means to the supreme human goal and is extremely rare, therefore you alone are fit to speak—this is the intent.
