तस्य विरक्तस्य विदुषः सम्यक्समाचारमाहुर्वेदविदो जनाः नैनं योगिनं मन्येत चिन्तयेत् भूयिष्ठं बहु बाह्यमाभ्यन्तरं जनम् पुत्रमित्रकलत्रादि आभ्यन्तरम्, इतरद्बाह्यम् ।यथा पुत्रमित्रादयो न गृह्णन्ति, तथा तेषामगोचर एव वर्तेत इत्यर्थः ॥
In plain words
Those who truly know the Vedas describe the proper conduct of the detached sage: let not the multitude—neither his inner circle of children, friends, and spouse, nor outsiders—know or honor this yogin. Just as ordinary people fail to grasp his true nature, he should live entirely unknown and inaccessible to them.
Close to the Sanskrit
The knowers of the Veda declare the proper conduct of that detached wise person: let not the general multitude of people—internal such as sons, friends, and wives, and external—regard or ponder this yogin. Just as sons and friends do not grasp [him], so he should abide entirely out of their reach, is the meaning.
