‘मूढो बाल इति प्रोक्तः श्वा च बाल इति स्मृतः’ इति दर्शनात् यथा बालाः श्वानो वा मूढा वा वान्तम् उद्गीर्णमश्नन्ति, एवं ये शिष्टा ब्रह्मविदः स्वमाहात्म्यं ख्यापयन्तः अगूढचारिणो वर्तन्ते, ते वान्तम् उद्गीर्णम् अश्नन्ति स्ववीर्यस्योपभोजनात् ।यदिदं वान्ताशनं तदिदम् अभूतये अनर्थायैवेत्यर्थः ।तस्माद्गूढः सन्नशिष्टवदेव समाचरेदित्यर्थः ॥
In plain words
Based on the saying, 'The deluded one is called a child, and the dog too is called a child': just as children, dogs, or the foolish consume what has been vomited out, so those who know brahman but parade their spiritual greatness openly are consuming vomit through the indulgence of their own spiritual energy. Such behavior leads solely to spiritual ruin and harm. Therefore, remaining hidden, one should conduct oneself quietly without advertising one's state.

In view of the text: 'The deluded one is called a child, and the dog is also known as a child,' just as children, dogs, or deluded ones eat what has been vomited and discharged, so those who, being knowers of brahman, behave openly while proclaiming their own greatness, consume what has been vomited, through the enjoyment of their own spiritual power. This consumption of vomit leads only to ruin and harm, is the meaning. Therefore, remaining concealed, one should conduct oneself precisely like an uncultured person, is the meaning.
