In plain words

Austerity practised here bears its fruit somewhere else, in the world beyond — that much is true of everyone alike. But for brāhmaṇas, for those who know brahman, there is this difference: their austerity is samṛddha, abundant — abundant beyond measure. It becomes the very cause of the fruit's increase. And scripture says as much: 'That which one does with knowledge…'

Close to the Sanskrit

Whatever austerity has been practised in this world — its fruit is enjoyed elsewhere, in that other world: thus it is common to all. But for brāhmaṇas, for the knowers of brahman, this is the distinction: austerity is samṛddha, that is, it becomes exceedingly abundant; the meaning is that it becomes a cause of the increase of the fruit. And so says the śruti: 'That which one does with knowledge…'
