हे राजेन्द्र, यन्मां पृच्छसि तत् संक्षेपात् समासतः ब्रवीमि ते, एतत् वक्ष्यमाणं पापहरं शुद्धं जन्ममृत्युजरापहम् ॥

Best of kings — what you are asking me, I will tell you, and tell it briefly, in a few words. What is about to be said carries wrongdoing away; it is pure; it puts an end to birth, to death, to growing old.
