In plain words
"He turns to face it" — that is what the word means. Scripture says as much: whom this Self chooses, by him it is reached; to him the Self throws open its own form. And then, with his own nature standing uncovered at last, he reaches the vast Plenum, the far shore past all darkness, the Supreme Self. That is the sense of it.
Close to the Sanskrit
"He would become turned toward it" — that is the meaning. And it is heard in scripture: "Whom this one chooses, by him is it attained; to him this Self unveils its own form." Thereafter, being one whose own nature has become manifest, he would reach the abundant Plenum, the far shore of darkness, the Supreme Self — that is the meaning.
