श्यति ।कथंभूतेष्वनुपश्यति— अन्यत्रान्यत्र देहेन्द्रियादियुक्तेषु शरीराद्यभिमानिषु ।सः किं शोचेत् ततः परं सर्वभूतेषु स्वात्मानं पश्यन् ततः परं किमर्थमनुशोचति सर्वभूतस्थमात्मानमनुपश्यन् कृतार्थत्वान्नानुशोचतीत्यर्थः ।तथा च श्रुतिः—‘तत्र को मोहः कः शोक एकत्वमनुपश्यतः’ इति ॥
In plain words
...sees. In what sort of beings does he see it? In this one and that one and the next — creatures fitted out with a body and senses, each of them convinced it is the body it wears. And what is left for such a seer to grieve over? Once he sees his own Self in every being, what would he go on grieving about? Beholding the Self standing in all beings, he has already arrived at everything he wanted; nothing remains to mourn. That is the meaning. The śruti says the same: 'There, what delusion, what grief, for one who sees oneness.'

...sees. In beings of what sort does he behold [the Self]? — in others and others again, in those equipped with body, senses and the rest, in those who identify themselves with the body and the rest. What would he grieve over? Thereafter, seeing his own Self in all beings, for what purpose would he grieve after that? Beholding the Self as abiding in all beings, because his purpose stands accomplished, he does not grieve — such is the meaning. And so the śruti: 'There, what delusion, what grief, for one who beholds oneness.'
