He by whose grace the stubborn knot of ignorance in the heart is utterly cut away—him alone do those who truly understand the meaning of the word 'guru' declare to be the teacher.

From whom the complete liberation of the knot of the heart of ignorance also takes place, him indeed they call the guru—[so say] the knowers of the meaning of the word 'guru'.
