In plain words

Through hundreds of lifetimes his devotees have worshipped him — devotion with unbroken reverence in it, rites performed exactly as the Veda prescribes. And the Lord is pleased. He comes himself, taking the very form of the blessed Guru, and out of sheer compassion stands there where their eyes can see him. Then, teaching them the truth until they truly know it, the Master carries them across the ocean of saṃsāra's sorrow.

Thoroughly worshipped by devotees through many hundreds of births, with devotion joined to constant reverence, by rite marked as Vedic — the Lord himself, pleased, having directly come into the form of the blessed Guru, being brought within the range of sight by compassion, the Master, having taught them the Truth well, carries them across out of the ocean of the suffering of saṃsāra.
