। ॥ ३३४ ॥
In plain words
Take the spider. It is the maker, the efficient cause, because it is itself the one at work; and it is the material cause, because its own body is what the work is made of. Īśvara is both, in exactly that way.
Close to the Sanskrit
Just as a spider would be the efficient cause by reason of its own self being the principal factor, and the material cause by reason of its own body being the principal factor — so too is Īśvara.
