चित्तप्रसादेन विनावगन्तुंबन्धं न शक्नोति परात्मतत्त्वम् ।तत्त्वावगत्या तु विना विमुक्ति -र्न सिध्यति ब्रह्मसहस्रकोटिषु ॥ ३७३ ॥

Until the mind settles and goes clear, you cannot make out what bondage is, or what the supreme Self is. And without seeing that truth, liberation does not happen — not in a thousand crores of Brahmā's lifetimes.

Without clarity of mind, one is not able to comprehend bondage [or] the reality of the supreme Self; but without the comprehension of the Truth, liberation is not accomplished in a thousand crores of Brahmās.
