Because a share of earth goes into its making, the organ of evacuation pushes out the solid waste. And each faculty has its presiding power: for the ear it is the quarters of space, for the skin it is wind, for the eye it is the sun.

Because of being constituted of a portion of earth, the anus expels the solid waste. The presiding deity of the ear would be Direction; of the skin, Wind; of the eye, the Sun.
