। ॥ ४४० ॥
In plain words
Living beings come in four kinds of birth, and each species stands apart with its own marks. Since no single act of thought can take them all in at once, they are counted — as before — as vyaṣṭi: the many, met one by one.
Close to the Sanskrit
The fourfold class of beings, by reason of the particular distinctions of their respective species, not being the object of a single cognition, is held — as before — to be vyaṣṭi, the individuated.
