Verse 546

Tap any word for its meaning.

। ॥ ५४६ ॥

In plain words

The śruti itself says it: within that there is another self, and this one is made of prāṇa. So it is prāṇa that the word ātman fits here — and never, on any ground at all, the things we call the organs.

Close to the Sanskrit

Since by the śruti it is declared, "Other than that, inner, is the self made of prāṇa," therefore the selfhood of prāṇa is fitting — not, anywhere at all, that of the things designated 'organs.'
