Every pursuit, every renunciation, and every single effort made anywhere, is done solely for the sake of the Self, never for anything else. There is nothing dearer than this Self.
Close to the Sanskrit
Engagement and withdrawal, and whatever and however much striving there is, is for the sake of the Self alone, not for another's sake. Than that, there is no dearer higher one.
