। ॥ ६९६ ॥
In plain words
Space is never cut, yet to the undiscerning eye it looks sliced into pieces by pots and jars — just as the earth looks parcelled out by village lines and field boundaries, when all along it is one unbroken ground.
Close to the Sanskrit
The undivided appears as though divided, for the uninstructed, on account of pot and the rest — just as the earth appears as if divided by boundaries such as villages and fields.
