In plain words
Four disciplines form the bridge: giving offered to Brahman; Kṣamā, forgiveness free of Krodha, anger; Śraddhā, a living trust in reality; and Satya, truth rooted in Being. With these four, beginning in generosity, a discerning person crosses the bonds of creaturely life and reaches Śreyas, immortality, the path of heaven and the light.
