। ॥ २९ ॥
In plain words
I worship your lotus feet. Day after day, I hold you — the supreme — in my thought. Lord, I come to you for shelter. And when I speak, it is you alone I ask, you who are everywhere. Turn your eyes on me: one look, with mercy in it, the look the gods have been begging for through ages. Śambhu, teacher of all the worlds — teach this mind of mine how to be happy.
Close to the Sanskrit
Your lotus-feet I worship; you, the supreme, I contemplate day after day; you, the Lord, I approach as refuge; with speech, you alone I ask, O all-pervading one. And grant me a glance of your eyes, filled with compassion, long prayed for by the celestials; O Śambhu, O teacher of the worlds, give my mind the instruction in happiness.
