। ॥ २२ ॥
In plain words
Out of the navel’s round basin—a hollow ringed with a glow that feeds beauty upon fresh beauty—it climbs; it crosses the whole path of the belly in front and comes up to the chest. Dark, it shines for all it is worth, like a written line spelling out the meaning of the Kāma Āgama—the scripture of love. May that finest of hair-creepers, on the Lord who wears the half-moon, keep me glad without end.
Close to the Sanskrit
Rising up from the watering-basin of the navel-circle, which is ringed about by a splendour that nourishes ever-new loveliness, crossing in front the path of the belly and proceeding to the chest, dark, shining to the utmost like a line of script that declares the meaning of the Kāma Āgama—the scripture of love—may that finest of hair-creepers of Him whose crest is the half-moon gladden me continually.
