In plain words

It lifts the panic off every god who has run to those lotus feet. Its edge is still wet with blood from the bodies of Mātaṅga and the whole savage crowd of demons. It is merciless, and its own blaze shames ten thousand suns. Its shape alone is terror. May that axe cut down for us the forest called sin, however deep its roots have gone.

Close to the Sanskrit

Remover of the onrush of terror of all the heaven-dwellers who have taken refuge at the lotus feet; whose blade is smeared with streams of blood flowing from the bodies of the host of fierce demons beginning with Mātaṅga; cruel, and by its own radiance spreading humiliation even over myriads of suns; of dreadful form — may the axe cleave for us the forest named exceedingly-hardened sin.
