In plain words
The merit of the gods brought him into being — born from the one praiseworthy will and potency of Śiva and Śivā. Let his name be heard, and the massed ranks of Diti's sons take on a dead weight of fear. The tip of his whetted arrow cut the Krauñca mountain open; he hauls up whoever has fallen into the belly of saṃsāra's bottomless well. May he — Tāraka's enemy — be here, for our flourishing.
Close to the Sanskrit
He who was born by the merits of the gods, from the single praiseworthy-potency-concord of the two Śivas; at whose name, when it is heard, the massed troops of Diti-born soldiers take on a burden of fear — may this one, by whose sharp arrow's tip the Krauñca mountain was split, the rescuer of those fallen into the belly of saṃsāra's bottomless well, the enemy of Tāraka, be for our prosperity.
