Brahman cannot be known as an object — and even so it never becomes hidden, never a thing at second hand, because it shines by its own light. Real; awareness; without limit — brahman. That is the mark by which it stands declared.

Brahman, though not knowable, does not become beyond-sight, because of its self-luminosity. 'Real, knowledge, infinite — brahman': thus the defining mark of this is proclaimed.
