In plain words
Seeing difference is forbidden, and Karma operates only where difference is assumed; even the sacred thread is taken up as a support for Karma. Recognizing one's non-difference from Paramātman therefore sets aside both Karma and its supports, for these are prescribed for the saṃsārin, never for one who sees identity with Paramātman. The mere vision of difference makes one other than That.
Close to the Sanskrit
Therefore, because the vision of difference is prohibited, because the adoption of Karma has difference as its domain, and because taking up supports such as the sacred thread supplies the means of Karma, it should be understood that the recognition of non-difference from Paramātman prohibits Karma and its supports. Karmas and their supports, such as the sacred thread, are contrary to the recognition of non-difference from Paramātman. They are enjoined for the saṃsārin, not for one who sees non-difference from Paramātman. The mere vision of difference makes one other than That.
