In plain words
Everything ordinary sight reaches is the non-Self, and it is always known at a remove — something stands in between. But seeing itself is the very nature of the Self. So that Brahman is handed down to us as pratyakṣa: immediate, present with nothing in between.
Close to the Sanskrit
For, because of an interposition, mediacy belongs to the non-Self, which is the object of worldly perception; but because seeing is the very nature of the Self, that Brahman is remembered as immediate.
