Everything rides on the intellect, always — and the sense of being the one who acts rides there too, along with the rest; all of it stands before the witness. So the knower lights up the whole of it, and never once touches any of it.

Everything, together with the ego-agent, is always mounted upon the intellect, and is of the witness; therefore the knower is the illuminer of all, always not touching anything whatsoever.
