Verse 47

प्रत्यक्परोक्षतैकस्य सद्वितीयत्वपूर्णता ।विरुध्यते यतस्तस्माल्लक्षणा सम्प्रवर्तते ॥ ४६ ॥

In plain words

Because the direct inner nature and remote objectivity—along with the attributes of limitation and infinity—clash directly, secondary implication must come into play.

Because the immediate-inner and remote character of the one, and [its] having duality and fullness, are contradicted, therefore secondary indication operates.
