The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Viṣṇusahasranāmastotram

Verse 257

बोधनात्स्वापनाच्चैव जगतो हर्षणं भवेत् ।अग्नीषोमकृतैरेवं कर्मभिः पाण्डुनन्दन ॥

In plain words

It is by waking the world and by laying it down in sleep that gladness comes to it — thus, son of Pāṇḍu, by the works of Agni and Soma.

Close to the Sanskrit

From the awakening and from the putting to sleep alone, a gladdening of the world would come about — thus, by actions performed by Agni and Soma, O son of Pāṇḍu.
