पवित्राणां पावनानां तीर्थादीनां पवित्रम् ।परमस्तुपुमान् ध्यातो दृष्टः कीर्तित: स्तुत: संपूजितः स्मृतः प्रणतःपाप्मनः सर्वानुन्मूलयतीति परमं पवित्रम् ।संसारबन्धहेतु-भूतं पुण्यापुण्यात्मकं कर्म तत्कारणं च अज्ञानं सर्वं नाशयतिस्वयाथात्म्यज्ञानेनेति वा पवित्राणां पवित्रम् ॥

Among all that purifies and sanctifies, among sacred waters and holy places, the Supreme Person is the ultimate purifier. Whether he is meditated upon, beheld in the heart, chanted, praised, honored, remembered, or approached with a bow, he utterly uproots every trace of sin—and therefore he is the supreme purifier. Or else, through the direct realization of one's true nature, he destroys both merit and demerit, which breed worldly bondage, along with ignorance, their root cause. Thus is he the purifier of all purifiers.
Close to the Sanskrit
Of purifiers, of sanctifiers, of sacred fords and others, the purifier supreme is the Puruṣa. Meditated upon, seen, chanted, praised, worshipped, remembered, or bowed to, he uproots all sins, hence he is the supreme purifier. Alternatively, he destroys all karma constituting merit and demerit which is the cause of worldly bondage, and also ignorance—the cause of that—through the knowledge of one's own true nature; thus he is the purifier of purifiers.
