ओजः प्राणबलम्, तेजः शौर्यादयो गुणाः, द्युतिः दीप्तिः; तां धारयतीति ओजस्तेजोद्युतिधरः ।अथवा, ओजः तेजः इति नामद्वयम्, 'बलं बलवतां चाहं तेजस्तेजस्विनामहम्' इति भगवद्वचनात् ।द्युतिं ज्ञानलक्षणां दीप्तिं धारयतीति द्युतिधरः ।प्रकाशस्वरूपः आत्मा यस्य सः प्रकाशात्मा ।सवित्रादिविभूतिभिः विश्वं प्रतापयतीति प्रतापनः ।

Ojas is vital energy; tejas comprises virtues like courage and majesty; dyuti is luminous splendor. He who upholds all three is Ojastejodyutidharaḥ. Alternatively, ojas and tejas form a pair of names, echoing the divine declaration in the Gītā: 'I am the strength of the strong and the splendor of the splendid.' He who bears the radiance of wisdom is Dyutidharaḥ. He whose very essence is pure illumination is Prakāśātmā, and he who energizes the entire universe through luminous powers like the sun is Pratāpanaḥ.
