The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Viṣṇusahasranāmastotram

Verse 60

शाठ्येनापि नमस्कारः प्रयुक्तश्चक्रपाणये ।संसारमूलबन्धानामुद्वेजनकरो हि सः ॥

In plain words

Even a bow made in bad faith, if it is offered to the one who holds the discus — that bow shakes loose the bonds that saṃsāra is rooted in.

Close to the Sanskrit

A salutation, even employed with guile, offered to the Discus-Wielder — that indeed is a causer of agitation to the bonds which are the root of saṃsāra.
