In plain words

From the mere remembrance of Viṣṇu comes complete fulfillment, declares the sacred tradition. In the beginning, middle, and end, Viṣṇu is sung everywhere. From Him the universe arises, and into Him it dissolves. Day and night, morning and afternoon, know the unborn Viṣṇu alone as the true refuge of the world. Whoever abandons Viṣṇu and seeks liberation through any other makes a mockery of his spiritual journey. Therefore, eternally worshipping the boundless Lord and offering the oblation of praise, a person attains all his desires. He who constantly praises the birthless, luminous Lord, the supreme ruler and overseer of all worlds, crosses beyond all sorrow. Whoever recites this hymn daily in the temple—morning, noon, or evening—dispels every obstacle. Enemies are incinerated, hostile stars grow peaceful, and sins dissolve when this hymn is chanted. Whoever recites it at the three junctures of the day gains the fruit of performing every grand sacrifice. He who honors the wise and chants before the Sāma-chanter reaches the supreme abode where Hari, the master of yoga, dwells. With subdued senses, sitting in a quiet place with a collected mind, let him recite this prayer. Then Lord Jagannatha, captivator of the heart, grows gracious and grants whatever is desired. The seeker of freedom gains freedom; the seeker of wealth gains wealth; the seeker of wisdom gains sacred knowledge and Vedānta. Viṣṇu removes all calamities without a doubt, bestowing health, wealth, and children. Fear and disease vanish; the karma of past lives is destroyed. Health, prosperity, and long life are granted by Lord Viṣṇu when He is remembered with devotion. Freed from sin, the devotee reaches Viṣṇu's abode, and eventually, through the remembrance of Kṛṣṇa, attains the supreme state. Viṣṇu fills every direction, and all worlds are sustained by Him; therefore, worship Viṣṇu with all your might. Thus concludes the teaching of Vyāsa.

Close to the Sanskrit

From the mere remembrance of Viṣṇu, complete fulfillment occurs, thus says the Śruti. In the beginning, middle, and end, Viṣṇu is sung everywhere. Therefore the universe has arisen and will attain dissolution in Him. Night and day, in the morning and afternoons, one should know the unborn Viṣṇu, and no other, as beneficial to the world. Whoever, abandoning Viṣṇu, desires liberation through another, that person, though devoted to duty, makes a laughingstock of his provisions. Therefore, having constantly worshipped the eternal Lord who is without beginning, middle, or end, and having made an offering of praise, a man attains all his desires. The devotee who constantly praises the unborn, shining Lord, the supreme ruler of all worlds and overseer of existence, transcends all sorrow. The man who daily recites this in the temple of Keśava, three times, twice, or even once, dispels all cruel obstacles. His enemies are burned, all unfavorable planets become gentle, and his sins dissolve when this hymn is proclaimed. Whoever recites this three times a day obtains the fruit declared for one who has performed all sacrifices and taken the concluding bath. Whoever knows the best among the wise and recites before the Sāma-chanter brāhmaṇa attains that supreme abode where Hari, the lord of yoga, resides. Having subdued the mind and senses, and retiring to a secluded place, one should recite this with a focused and composed mind. Then Lord Jagannatha, the captivator of the mind, becomes gracious to that meditative person, and grants whatever is thought of in the mind. The seeker of liberation attains liberation, the seeker of worldly desires attains desires, and the seeker of knowledge attains sacred wisdom and Vedānta. Viṣṇu constantly removes calamities for him, of this there is no doubt; Puruṣottama grants wealth, health, and sons. He encounters fear nowhere nor suffers from diseases; threefold karma from past births is destroyed. Health, complete prosperity, progeny, and longevity are granted by Lord Viṣṇu when He is remembered or praised with devotion. Freed from all sin, he goes to Viṣṇu's world; departing from Viṣṇu's world and established in Vaiṣṇava yoga, wandering through thousands of births in saṃsāra, a human being, freed by the remembrance of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, attains the supreme state. Viṣṇu pervades every quarter, and all worlds are permeated by Him; therefore, O humans, worship Viṣṇu with all your effort. Thus is the utterance of Vyāsa.
