In plain words

Silence, real silence, is the mind finally coming to rest - the mind that never stops manufacturing its false alternatives. For the great soul who knows he is Brahman, that silence is where an unbroken, undivided joy simply is.

Silence is the supreme cessation of the intellect, which is the cause of unreal imaginings and doubts, for the great-souled knower of Brahman who is Brahman itself - wherein is the unbroken joy of non-dual bliss.
