In plain words

Just as a leaf, a flower, a fruit can perish without touching the tree, so too the ending of the body, the senses, the breath, the mind never touches the Self at all. Your own Self, whose very nature is existence and bliss, simply remains - untouched, like the tree.

Close to the Sanskrit

Like the destruction of a leaf, a flower, or a fruit, is the destruction of body, senses, life-breath, and mind; it does not touch the Self at all, one's own Self, whose nature is Being, whose form is bliss - this remains, like the tree.
