In plain words

Every moment you put off the one real task — breaking free of the bondage that beginningless ignorance has built — is a moment lost. This body is only a means to a further end, never the end itself; whoever clings to feeding and pampering it is killing his own true self in the process.

Close to the Sanskrit

Neglecting every moment the task to be done — freedom from the bondage wrought by beginningless ignorance — he who clings to nourishing this body, which exists for another’s purpose, kills himself by this.
