In plain words
It is born when long practice of the three bandhas has finally ripened. It has let go of both breathing out and breathing in. It dries up the whole current running out toward sense-objects. This vidyā, whose very form is kevala kumbhaka — breath held, alone, of itself — is what I give myself to.
Close to the Sanskrit
Born of the ripening of the practice of the three bandhas, free of both exhalation and inhalation, drying up the stream of sense-objects — that vidyā, whose form is kevala kumbhaka alone, I take refuge in.
