Question and answer 32
In plain words
Disciple: Not as in deep sleep, where the mode of the mind merges in ignorance and happiness shines veiled by ignorance: in nirvikalpa samādhi, which is abiding in non-duality, the mode of the inner instrument takes the form of Brahman by the strength of meditation and merges in the light of Brahman, and bliss alone shines, free of concealment. Is there no rule that the jñānī must be in that samādhi?
Guru: At this the Guru laughed, thinking, 'What is he babbling, like a madman?'
