In plain words
Thus praising himself as full of devotion, in words spoken in general, he says: Ah, this is that knowing of the field of the good, for a great purpose, by which these sow in You, O Lord, a devotion whose fruit is endless. O Master: ‘of the good’, that is, of those who have received grace; ‘ah’, that is, a wonder; ‘knowing of the field’, kṣetrajñatā, that is, being the puruṣa. And again, kṣetrajñatā is jñatā, that is, knowing, towards You as the field, kṣetra, who are the cause of protection from all affliction and wandering; ‘that, this’, that is, whose power has been found within oneself; ‘for the great’, that is, for non-difference from You; ‘purpose’, that is, aim; ‘by which’ knowing of the field, as the cause, ‘these’ good ones ‘sow’ ‘devotion’, that is, service, ‘in You’ as the field, giving up the desire for any separate fruit, that is, they make it grow like a seed. What kind of devotion? ‘Endless’, that is, unlimited: that in which the fruit, which is the attainment of oneness with You, comes from the very sowing in You as the field.
