In plain words

Nor is the stilling of this hard to reach, for: The gaining of the powers beginning with aṇimā, everlasting lordship, the end of becoming: these, O Bhava, are the young leaves of the wishing tree of devotion to You. The gaining of aṇimā and the rest belongs to Brahmā and the others; everlasting lordship to Sadāśiva and the others; the end of becoming to the pure selves: these are the young leaves of the wishing tree of devotion to You, not its flowers or its fruits. For its flower is being made of Your Śakti, and its fruit is being made of You alone. And since the end of becoming is a young leaf of devotion to You, the impression of māyā will surely perish, by Your grace, for us who partake of devotion to You: that is what remains of the intent. And it is said in the Vijñānabhairava: “The understanding that arises in one free of passion through the overflowing of devotion, that is the power of Śaṃkara; let one contemplate it always, and then there is Śiva.” So it is said.
