In plain words
And again: Minds made dim by the flood of delusion, even in great hardships of purpose, grow clear when He is remembered: that Śiva we praise. Even in ‘great’, that is, weighty, ‘hardships of purpose’, since they cannot be brought to a conclusion, that is, in matters that are straits of purpose, such as inquiry into the world, the ‘minds’, that is, the saṃvids, ‘made dim’ by the ‘flood of delusion’, that is, by the swelling of māyā, their real prakāśa covered, when He ‘is remembered’, that is, as soon as He is reflected on, ‘grow clear’, that is, cast off the turbidity of māyā and come to possess knowledge of reality: that ‘Śiva’, that is, made of the highest good, ‘we praise’, that is, we reflect on in non-difference.
