In plain words

Or let the following of Your prakāśa stand aside: even my zeal for devotion to You gives birth to the finest fruit. So he says: I think that even he has set his foot on the safe path to liberation in whom this wish stands: ‘I shall serve Śiva’. ‘Śiva’, that is, the one made of the highest good; ‘I shall serve’, that is, I shall take refuge in Him by becoming made of Him: I, whose resolve is made of a zeal beyond the world such as this, have ‘set my foot’, that is, have set down the feet of my own powers of knowledge and action, ‘on the path’, that is, in the abode of Śakti, ‘to liberation’, that is, to release, whose nature is the attaining of non-difference from Śiva, ‘safe’, that is, beneficial for security, for the supreme highest good. So zeal alone, in the matter of devotion, comes to give this one what he desires. As it is said by our revered master: “‘Rise up: I praise Śaṃkara, I worship the Great Lord’: so the fortunate alone enjoy the feast of this ardour.” And so on.
