In plain words

The greatness of devotion to You has no bounds, and so to pray for it is fitting for us: with this intent he says: Even a contrived devotion to You gives rise to a fruit that is not contrived; were it free of guile, what fruit would it have? Let that be told by You. ‘Contrived’: even the devotion to You, the Great God, that is brought about by external worship, meditation, japa and the rest, even that is made of the rising of a fruit whose nature is the uncontrived attaining of You. Where this is so, if that devotion ‘were free of guile’, that is, without pretext, not looking to external means, welling up with great love, then ‘what fruit would it have’, that is, with what fruit would it be joined? ‘Let that be told by You’. Beyond devotion to You, which is made of samāveśa in You, whose nature is liberation while living, no fruit at all can be conceived: that is the meaning.
