In plain words
And to fulfil this prayer is mere play for You, O Lord: so he says: If for even a single instant You set Your foot in my mind, its faults worn away, then, O Śaṃbhu, what will You not bring about? O Śaṃbhu, ‘in the mind’ of those like me who are to be graced, ‘its faults worn away’ by Your will alone, that is, its bad old impressions turned back, if for even a single instant You set Your ‘foot’, that is, Your presiding as the one who graces, ‘then what will You not bring about?’ that is, You will fulfil every prayer that very instant. That is said in the venerable Lord Mṛtyujit: “But if the reality is grasped for no more than the measure of a closing and an opening of the eye, from then on he is liberated, and would not come to birth again.” So it is said.
