In plain words
Now, it is Your śaktipāta alone, depending on nothing, that brings about people who have devotion made of samāveśa in their own Self, dense with cit and ānanda; it has no cause such as the balancing of karma or the ripening of mala, nor is there a gradual ripening of mala through Your power presiding over it: this he says in two verses: When the mind is clear, O Master, is it then that You enter it? Or, through Your entering, would it become clear? So people swing to and fro.
