अथाध्यात्मम् ।इदमेव मूर्तं यदन्यत्प्राणाच्च यश्चायमन्तरात्मन्नाकाशः ।एतन्मर्त्यम् ।एतत्स्थितम् ।एतत्सत् ।तस्यैतस्य मूर्तस्यैतस्य मर्त्यस्यैतस्य स्थितस्यैतस्य सत एष रसो यच्चक्षुः ।सतो ह्येष रसः ॥२,३.४ ॥

Now with respect to the self. The formed is whatever is other than the breath and the space within the body. That is mortal, that is fixed, that is being. And the essence of that formed, mortal, fixed being is the eye, for it is the essence of being.
