In plain words

The eye went out. Having stayed away a year, it came back and said, "How could you live without me?" They said, "As blind men live, not seeing with the eye but breathing with the breath, speaking with speech, hearing with the ear, knowing with the mind, begetting with the seed — so we lived." And the eye entered in again.

The commentators

Bṛhadāraṇyakopaniṣadbhāṣyam· bhāṣya

तथा चक्षुर्होच्चक्रामेत्यादि पूर्ववत् । श्रोत्रं मनः प्रजाति- रिति ॥

In plain words

In the same way, the passage that begins 'the eye walked out' continues exactly as the ones before it did. Hearing, mind, and the power to have children all follow the very same pattern.

Close to the Sanskrit

Likewise, [the passage beginning] 'the eye indeed departed' and so on runs as before. Hearing, mind, and procreation [follow in the same sequence] — thus [it is said].
