In plain words
And it is said elsewhere too: Beyond this is its concentration. By pressing the tip of the tongue against the palate and restraining speech, mind and breath, he sees Brahman by reflection. When by the dwindling of the mind he sees the Self by the Self, finer than the finest, shining forth, then, having seen the Self by the Self, he becomes selfless; and because he is selfless, he is to be thought of as beyond number and beyond birth. This is the mark of release; this is the highest secret. So it is said: "By the clearing of thought a man destroys works good and evil; and with his self made clear, abiding in the Self, he attains unfading joy."
