अथान्यत्राप्युक्तम् यः शब्दस्तदोमित्येतदक्षरम् यदस्याग्रं तच्छान्तमशब्दमभयमशोकमानन्दं तृप्तं स्थिरमचलममृतमच्युतं ध्रुवं विष्णुसंज्ञितं सर्वापरत्वाय तदेता उपसीतेत्येवं ह्याह योऽसौ परापरो देवा ॐकारो नाम नामतः ।निःशब्दः शून्यभूतस्तु मूर्ध्नि स्थाने ततोऽभ्यसेत् ॥ ॥६.२३ ॥

And it is said elsewhere too: The sound is that syllable Om, and what is at the summit of it is tranquil, soundless, fearless, sorrowless, blissful, contented, firm, unmoving, immortal, unfallen, steadfast, and named Viṣṇu. Let a man worship these two in order to surpass all. So it is said: "That god who is both the higher and the lower, whose name is the syllable Om — soundless and become void, let a man practise him in the place at the crown of the head."
